C18-C19 timber-framed and plastered building. One storey and attics. Small casement windows. Roof thatched, with 3 dormers and a central chimney stack.


The house was formerly a pub/beerhouse known as the Plough (see also the section on Pubs) and was subsequently acquired by the Church Army as part of the Hempstead Hall gift.
