C17 timber-framed and plastered building. Renovated in the C20, with an addition to the west end. One storey and attics. Small casement windows. Roof thatched, with 2 dormers and a central chimney stack.
The house was originally a farmhouse with c.30 acres owned by William Westley of Whittlesford and the basis for the endowment of Whittlesford Primary School (see the Puzzles section of this site) In 1842 the land was farmed by Joshua Brazier who kept the Royal Oak
