C18 timber-framed and plastered building, renovated in the C20, with a brick plinth. A modern addition extends at the south-west end. One storey and attics. Small casement windows. Roof tiled, with 3 gabled dormers and a central square chimney stack.

Built originally as a cottage and workshop, extended 1970s,  Has been a wheelwright’s workshop , butchery and baker’s. The childhood home of Margaret Drane, who talks a lot about the house in the first part of her recorded conversation with Hazel Weedon.
